Take Me Out to the Ballgame!

I historically, never was a huge baseball fan. And neither was Luke. Then Isaac was born. And he LOVES baseball, and now, we're a baseball family and I love it.

Yesterday, Isaac started T-ball with the parks and rec. We've been looking forward to this day since Christmas! IT. WAS. AWESOME. It was 100% better than soccer! Maybe because Isaac loves baseball and plays everyday, whereas soccer was just an extra. But also, the class was better, the coach was better, everything was better! PLUS, there wasn't a "no pictures" rule so we got a lot more pictures and videos! I have a lot of pictures so here we go!

Ready to go!
Little brother ready to cheer him on!

Love these boys!
First, warm up.
Learning to throw. It was a lot different than what we do at home.
Waiting to catch...
Still waiting :)

Finally!

Throwing with a friend
After a water break, it was time to run the bases. The coach had a great technique for organization. All the kids stand in their own hula hoop and wait in line. When the one in front of them is empty, they move up. Just the type of boundaries a group of preschoolers needs.
Waiting in line.
Taking off

He may have missed 3rd base :) But look at him go!!
Daddy helping and Simon trying to get in on the game
Finally, it's time to hit. I loved that the coach used these hula hoops. Everything was color coordinated. So if you stood in the blue hoop you hit the blue ball and ran to get the blue ball. So great for little kids and so much easier for the coach to not have kids running all over the place.

Isaac loves to tap the ground with the bat before he hits the ball and he does it every time. We still don't know who taught him that. But the coach said in the 3 years he's done the t-ball class, he's never seen a child to that. HA! GO ISAAC! He had such a good time and got a lot of individual attention which is just what he needed.

After T-ball, it was time for BASEBALL!!!!

It was $1 concessions so we got some hotdogs and fries. Yummy!

I'm still amazed how Isaac just sits there and watches. Every time the ball came anywhere near us, he threw his little glove in the air ready to catch! sweet boy. Even Simon did okay! He needed equal parts daddy's lap, standing, walking around, and eating of course! We got home crazy late but it was all worth it!

Because I know I NEVER say this, I LOVE BEING A MOM OF BOYS!!! I'll take superheros and baseball ANYDAY!!
