Picture Highlights

I just don't have enough energy to blog in detail about this past week. I did have a birthday on the 13th, but we forgot the camera everytime we went out. So, the best I can do is show pictures of what we've been up to!

Isaac doesn't like the Bumbo yet...Missy's hiding under the bed, but listening hard....Luke goes a concert of his old a capella group, the Looney Tunes...And we try and try for a family picture.....this is one of the good ones.......

Dinner Last Thursday

We miss our dear friends Ben and Tiff. They moved from across the way to about 5 minutes away. I know...it's not that far. We finally got to see them after about a month last thursday for dinner. We had a great time catching up, playing Mexican Train (thanks Michele) and playing with Isaac. Tiffany liked holding him...but Ben just had to fly him! What fun!

Who Does Isaac Look Like?

You all be the judges! Does Isaac look like Baby Luke or Baby Rockie?1. Luke with his mom 2. Rockie and her mom

The Iceman

Isaac had some pretty cute outfits this week. I liked his navy baby crocs the best. Here are some blue car slippers that he also started wearing.Rockie and I have tried to get some good photos of Isaac with his big ridiculous toothless grin, but it's been hard because they happen pretty quickly. This one was taken in the nick of time. I LOVE when he is a little happy baby! His shirt is for when I forget his name.

The first pair of ovuh-awes.

She spent about 40 min. to get from before to after. I really like it though...THANKS HONEY!!!

Reading with Daddy

Luke is in charge of Isaac's bedtime routine. It's a way that they can have alone time together. Luke really cherishes this time and sometimes, if I want to go in and see what's going on, Luke will make me leave the room (in a very loving way). Sometimes, Luke turns the baby monitor on early so I can hear him reading and praying with Luke. I almost cry everytime I hear Luke tell Isaac how much he loves him and how proud he is of him. Part of Isaac night-night routine is reading a Bible Story with Luke. Here are some pics that I sneaked: Isaac really looks like he's looking at the book!No Moms allowed!Thank you Lord for my son and my amazing husband!

What I Forgot about the Weekend...

Ashley came to meet Isaac. She is a friend from Greenville. I was her youth leader when she was in high school. Those were some of the funnest times that I can remember. It was so nice to have her meet Isaac and see our home. Sorry I forgot about you Ashley!

And here's just a cute picture, tummy time for daddy and Isaac!

Weekend Highlights

Isaac started sucking his thumb! In my quest for breadmaking, I started with an easy dessert bread. Apple Bread: the hardest and most tedious part was finely shredding the apple. But it was yummy!Luke took me on a great date to Macaroni Grill with a gift card.MMMmmmm! He then took me stargazing at Jordan Lake. The Moorehead Planetarium offers free classes the last Saturday of every month!! It was amazing. They had HUGE telescopes that you could see the craters of the moon through and could see the crescent of Venus. It was a great night to star gaze! Being that we were on a date, we needed a babysitter for the first time, so Mutee to the rescue. She was more than willing to come take care of our sweet little Isaac. We loved being able to get out on our own and I actually did ok leaving Isaac. This was the first time that I left him with anybody but Luke and for longer than 30 minutes. It was a great time though!

We ended the weekend with our Sunday School Super Bowl Party. I totally forgot the camera, you know, since I have to pack the whole nursery now :) so I don't have any pics. But it was fun to be with them. We have been with the class for 4 years now and have really become a family! But I'm sad the cardinals lost.
