Christmas Tree Day!!!

We traditionally get our Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving but it was really wet and rainy that day so we waited until Saturday. Oh I get so excited. I'm seriously like a 5 year old! Just proclaiming all day, it's Christmas Tree day.

We're so excited for Isaac to be able to experience it alittle more this year than last. He yelled out the whole time "TEE!!!" (tree). It's days like these that make me tear up in thankfulness for this awesome family God has given me. Here are some pictures from our adventure.Simon stayed snuggly the whole time because it was pretty chilly.
"This one?"
"What about this one?"
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this picture! We found our perfect tree.

I thought.

I would say guess who is who, but next to each other they do look different. but still Who's who! One MILLION dollars to each correct guesser!!

Staring with amazement and excitement at our colorful christmas tree.

"Hep Mami Peeeese?"

Translates to "Help Mami Please?" This is Isaac's new favorite request. I mean as soon as he's awake, I hear it. I love it. It all started one day when I asked if he would like to help me make some pancakes. He loved stirring the batter and throwing the chocolate chips in, and sneaking some in his mouth of course :)

Here he is getting ready to "hep mami" make some "sissy"(missy) treats. Time to pour the flour. And yes, it did go everywhere!
He also helped knead.
And cut. My mom bought this really cute bone cookie cutter. She actually bought all the ingredients.
So cute!
And now he just LOVES giving Missy her treats!

Here's another time he helped me. We made ham and cheese crescent roll ups. Here he is putting the cheese and turkey on. Then we said roll, roll, roll. I definitely had to go behind him and re-roll. I think he liked them! And he loves Buzz now. It's the one thing he truly remembers from Disney World. After we were home a few days, he sees a picture and proclaims, "BUZZ!!" Mind you, we hadn't practiced or given any attention to buzz at all. He remembered.

I just love my little man!

Sunday Hymn Sing

Come, ye sinners, poor and needy,
Weak and wounded, sick and sore;
Jesus ready stands to save you,
Full of pity, love and power.

I will arise and go to Jesus,
He will embrace me in His arms;
In the arms of my dear Savior,
O there are ten thousand charms.

Come, ye thirsty, come, and welcome,
God’s free bounty glorify;
True belief and true repentance,
Every grace that brings you nigh.

I will arise and go to Jesus,
He will embrace me in His arms;
In the arms of my dear Savior,
O there are ten thousand charms.

Come, ye weary, heavy laden,
Lost and ruined by the fall;
If you tarry till you’re better,
You will never come at all.

I will arise and go to Jesus,
He will embrace me in His arms;
In the arms of my dear Savior,
O there are ten thousand charms.

Holidays Fit For the King 2010

This is by far my favorite church event of the year. I love love love it. It totally gets me in the mood for the holidays.

First we eat breakfast together at beautifully decorated tables and listen to a woman speak. This year she spoke about A Woman's Heart, Fit for her King. She knows her God, believes her God and obeys her God. Very encouraging.

Then it's time for fun workshops that all the women really enjoy. Here's the table that I decorated. I decided on a a fall table. Here's a place setting. I found these great plates at Target and made a little rosette pin as gifts for the ladies.
For the centerpiece, I used the wreath off my door that I made. On a cake stand (under the tablecloth) I placed these pillar candles. I glued those leaves on using tacky glue.
And my favorite part, using old glass jars as candle holders. I used a variety of apple sauce jars, spaghetti sauce jars , jelly jars, and others and cleaned them out. I took some fake leaves and taped them to the jars and wrapped a piece of twine around it. After the candles were lit, they looked really cute.

Here's a tip that I just learned. Use different Tupperware under your table cloth to give the table differing heights. LOVE IT!

Anywho....here's a slide show of the other tables for you to get some more great ideas!

Our Smiling Boys

The other night I was "puppeteering" Simon's mouth to say "good night Isaac, I love you!" and every time he (I) finished saying something, he would get this grin like he was getting a kick out of it too. So there are Isaac, Simon and I laughing at each other. Here is a video Rockie took today of him doing the same thing.
