Isaac's BFF

These are our friends Burke and Jen Evans and their son Nathan. They were very kind to bring us dinner the other night. They also stayed for a quick visit which was alot of fun. We met them when we took the Crown Financial class about 2 years ago and we've been good friends since. Here are the two BFFs.I can just see it now: 2 on 2 basketball with the daddy's!!!

A New Creation

My mother-in-law gave me a subscription to Family Cirlce Magazine for Christmas and I'm very excited about. It has great home decorating ideas and lots of recipes. One of which is my new spring wreath that I just made. The great thing about it is you can make one for any season by changing the color of the ribbon. Here's how I did it:

Pick three colors that all coordinate. I got 4 spools (4yds. each spool, 1 1/2 in. thick) of each color. Cut into lengths of 21 in. You may need more ribbon depending on how big the wreath is. I just took an old wire hanger and made it into a circle. Tie each length of ribbon into a bow around the wreath and bunch them together as you go to make it look full. It was really fun to make. It's not hanging outside yet because it's not spring yet, of course! I can't wait to put it out there though!

Life with 4 Kids

This weekend, my sister and her kids came to stay with us for the big Kids Exchange. What a great time we had going shopping and playing games. But OH did we see what our lives could possibly be like with 4 kids. The excitement never ended!!! But it was fun to see them interact with Isaac. I can't believe how old they are. I'm so used to talking to 2 & 3 year olds that I had a really hard time talking to Malikhi and Zhayla, the two oldest. They can reason and understand adult language and I had to make myself stop baby talking to them. Luke and I were glad to have some more people to play Mexican Train with (thanks Michele!). AND, MissyGirl also gained a cousin.....meet Duke. He also came to visit and boy was he full of energy. Whenever he and Missy started to play and chase eachother, he would leap over her easily. It was funny to watch. Here's one more just because. Isaac is all bundled up and ready to go to the Getty concert

It's Beginning to Look alot Like Christmas!

Too bad Christmas was a month ago. I've been praying for snow since October!!! God is Lord over all creation, and that includes the weather. So, though there is a place for weathermen, when it comes to snow, I believe with all my heart that God can make it snow even if it's not in the forecast. This morning we woke up to 3 inches of snow, and it just kept falling. We LOVE the snow. It makes us feel like kids!! And we were excited to take Isaac out for his first snow. Don't worry, we didn't stay for long. Here are some pictures from our adventure. Here we are, all bundled up and ready to go!FamilyPicture in the snow. Missy is all bundled up too in her corduroy jacket and sweater. Isaac with Mami and daddy. He slept the whole time we were out there. He finally woke up once inside so I sat him by the window to look at the snow. Isn't he too cute. Here's a cute video of Isaac looking out the window. If you listen very closely, you can hear Isaac "making a deposit"! Too funny.

This One's Late

Daniel and Alinna left last Wednesday and I'm extremely late in posting about it. We all miss them dearly and it was such a whirlwind trip for them. We ate out alot! They specifically wanted Bojangles and Cracker Barrel becuase they don't have those in Cali. We hung out with both sets of families which totals about 16 people! And that meant 2 amazing games of Celebrities!!!! Luke's family threw them a "Gift Card Only" shower where people only brought gift cards (duh!) so that they wouldn't have a bunch of stuff to fly back. We were also able to have just the two of them over to our house for lunch one day and that was fun. We talked about tons of stuff, but mostly about transition to parenthood since they will be parents in June! They are going to be great parents even if Daniel refused to change diaper! His time is coming!

Happy New Year!

We once again spent New Year's Eve with the Braddy's in Youngsville. It was still called the Mustache Bash, though mustaches weren't a must like last year. We had a great time hanging out and catching up with friends that we don't see that often. It was much different with Isaac this year but there were alot of kids there playing around so we didn't feel like we were burdening everyone with Isaac. In fact, he was a star!!!! Kim is due with here second in just under 2 weeks so the party ended before midnight. But again, with all the kids, the ending time was just perfect. We started to play our game of Celebrities but didn't get to finish it, but it was still fun. Here are some pics from the evening: Isaac bundled in and ready to go! Radez holding baby Isaac Guys against girls playing celebrities. Halie making sure Isaac's feet are warm with her pink boa. Isaac looks alittle concerned. After the party, we came home and watched the ball drop, except we missed it because Luke was in the kitchen and I was plugging something in. Amazing how New Year's is becoming more and more anti-climactic as we get older. But we do love hanging out with our friends. Next year it's Pajamas & Chops at the Braddy's!!!
