I finally found it

This is the guitar I bought in Russia. I have looked all over the internet for "Flight" brand guitars, but never any luck. The link below shows a Russian website where you too can own one (for 4300 rubles). I named mine "Beverly" (after Star Trek's Beverly Crusher) and she looks and sounds beautiful.

Last Weekend

It would've been a busy Saturday for us, but then, things changed and it ended up not being so bad. I had two baby showers and a birthday party in greensboro for my neice. Both of which I was planning on no being able to attend because of the party. Well, my sister called at about 11 to say that Zhayla woke up with a really bad fever, sicky, and after a trip to the doc, she had strep throat, so her party would be cancelled. She was so sad when I talked to her on the phone. Here's what I made for her. Unfortunately, I had already missed Candi's shower in Greenville, but would now be able to go to Meg's shower here in town. Candi is having boy/girl twins (Berkley & Meredith) and here's what I made for them. Meg is having a little girl (Clara) and here's what I made for her, along with a taggie blanket. One of the best part of the weekend was having one of my best friends, Andrea stay with us on Friday night. We haven't seen her since around Christmas last year. It was soooo great to see her. It was a short trip so her husband and son didn't come but we were so glad Isaac got to meet his aunt Andrea!!!

Stamper Wedding

This weekend was my friend Pam's wedding. She was married to Ryan. We traveled to Charlotte for the wedding and were also able to see some good friends of ours. Melody told us a while ago that she wanted her guest room to look like a cozy cottage and like a bed & breakfast. When we asked if we could stay there, I kiddingly asked if we could make a reservation for the cottage room at their B&B. Well, look what she did for us:Complete with chocolates, toilettries, loofahs, and the whole room smelled like lavender. It was nice. And she made us breakfast casserole and fruit inthe morning. It was so nice! Here's a picture of Chris with Isaac:And here are some pictures of the wedding. This one is at Pam's rehearsal dinner which was luau themed. Too bad it was so rainy and chilly. Here's the happy couple:And one of all 5 of us!On the way home, we stopped by in Greensboro to have some lunch and hang out with my sister and so Isaac can see his TiaSu some more! We just hung out at the food court. It was a good end to a long weekend. It was still pretty rainy when we got home so we unpacked as quickly as we could and just laid in bed for the rest of the night. We made chocolate chip waffles for dinner. Mmmmm!

A Day at the Park

Saturday was a BEAUTIFUL day here and Luke and I took the opportunity to play outside with Isaac. He wasn't too excited at first though, but he got better once we were out.
We did some shopping for some upcoming weddings and showers then picked up lunch from Japan Express and headed over to umstead park. Luke just loved Isaac's little bare feet!I think this picture of Luke and Isaac is my new favorite! And here's me with IsaacBoy!
We had a really fun time together. It's making me excited for more nice weather so that we can have more time outside as a family. It was a fun weekend for us. On Friday, we had dinner with Mike and Nancy Corson, then park on Saturday, dinner with Drew and Jamie Watkins, then Sunday lunch with Josh and Meg Blinson, then birthday dinner with for Luke's mom with his family! Luke and I thrive in being social. But, I find I'm forgetting my camera more often or if I bring it, I forget to take pictures! Oh well!

Sewing Things!

Now that all the gifts have been given, I can blog about everything that I've been working on. Here are some kitchen towels that I made for my mother-in-law:
These things I made for our neice Ruby who will be born in June! A burp rag:
Daniel and Alinna met and graduated at APP, so Ruby needed a shirt:
I sewed on the satin edge and the little flowers to this previously empty pink blanket.
This was my first try at a tag blankie so it has it's imperfections but it was fun to makeWalmart had a fabric liquidation and it was all 75% off per yard. I have all kinds of things now that I've got swimming around in my head. I'm also trying to do some non-baby items. Sewing has really become a passion for me now!!! Let me know if you want me to make something for you!!

Gammie Turns 90!!

What an adventure we had last weekend. Luke's grandmother turned 90 and his aunt Marilyn flew the WHOLE family to ohio for a big celebration. It was out first time flying as a family and Isaac couldn't have done better. God really provided for us in that Isaac was peaceful and content the whole time and Luke and I worked really well together!!We had a great time. It was a whirlwind weekend but it was soooo much fun! Here are some pics from the weekend. Here's Mr. Dad at the airport! And Gammie meeting Isaac for the first time. This is a historic picture; the oldest Mehaffie to the youngest Mehaffie!! She was so excited!unt Marilyn and Aunt Charlene also meeting Isaac! And Grandpa and Mutee! Luke, Isaac and I at Gammie's party. Here's a close-up of what Isaac wore. Don't you just want to melt!!! There's an embroidered pocket watch on the vest! Here is Gammie's whole family! 33 people and we're all related to her. Isn't that amazing!!And just as a side note, Gammie may be 90, but you wouldn't know it by looking at her and watching her tap dance! Here's uncle D and daddy.Daniel just loved Isaac and always wanted to hold and play with him. He's in training for when his Ruby is born. He still didn't want to change diapers though! We went out to a pizza place one of the night and Isaac really wanted some of it! Here's us at the airport on the way home.Isaac was soooo good again. He slept most of the way home. People were actually commenting on how he was the best baby they've ever seen on a plane! One last picture: Daddy and Isaac looking at the planes. Luke just can't wait for Isaac to get big enough to talk about the planes!!
