We Celebrated and it was Great!
...because the theme to the fair this year was Celebrate What's Great!
The coming of October means two things : Fall is finally here (if the weather cooperates) and NC STATE FAIR!!
This has become a priority tradition for this Mehaffie family and we can't wait until we can go. This year, since we have a little toddler, Luke took a half day so we can go early in the day when it's less crowded and all the animals are still out to look at. We had a great day. Sharon came with us and showered us with generosity, but mostly she got time with the boys. Then Daniel, Alinna and Ruby tagged along for while. Isaac was a trooper and didn't sleep all day. But boy did I pay for it the next day :) Enjoy the pics.

I Bleed Purple and Gold
Even though we coulnd't be at the game, we still sported our, or my ECU pride! Except for Luke whose heart is divided (even though HE DIDN'T GO TO STATE!). And though ECU lost their minds in the 2nd quarter, glad they pulled through in overtime!

Ma!
AKA Mami. AKA Mom.
She was originally planning on coming the week after Simon was born but as God would have it, Simon came the day after my mom did. And of course, God's plan was better than mine.
I don't know what I would have done without my mom here. She was so amazing. She took care of Isaac the whole time we were in the hospital which was awesome because now he knows his Nana!
She did so much cooking. Which was my favorite because some of those dishes I hadn't had since I was little. Biggest regret, not standing in the kitchen with her watching her. She was also my safeguard to make sure I didn't push myself too hard. I was also so glad she was hear to answer all my post baby questions that we didn't know.
I LOVED having her here and I've really missed her this week. I know that if she had not been here, I would've been baby blues'n real bad.
I love you mami! That first week would've been crazy without you.

Have a Magical Day!
That's what the cute little old man who took our $14 for parking told us as we entered The Happiest Place on Earth. And we did!
Not gonna give too much commentary. Just gonna say that we had a great time. We all got in free and you can't beat that. And the boys did great. Simon was the easiest of all. I mean, seriously, if you have free tickets to Disney, the best time to take a child is when all they do is eat, sleep and poop, right ?!? God was very good to us.
