They Won't Remember, but We Will!
Isaac's little cousin Ruby spent the night last night while mommy and daddy (Daniel & Alinna) went out for their anniversary. It was bath night for Isaac so we decided why not give Ruby a bath too! And boy was it fun. And even though they won't remember it, we have lots of pictures and video to show them (and their spouses) in the future!

25 Weeks
Here's the belly. Two things that have been way different about this pregnancy.
1. My "heart burns" for this baby
2. Up when I'm up, sleeps when I sleep.
Isaac was different in that I didn't really have alot of heart burn (maybe this baby got the hairiness I prayed for Isaac) and when I'm resting, he's not moving, but when I'm up and about, he's jumping. Isaac was totally opposite. Weird.

Our First Big House Renovation
We have successfully completed our first big home renovation. Putting in a brick patio in the back yard! And no, we didn't do it ourselves. Here are some before and after pictures.
This is what the back yard looked like without anything. There was a lawn mower cabinet and dog house just under that window, but they got moved to the far end of the yard. I know it looks all nice and green, but it's all weeds and NASTY and very uneven ground.
Here is a picture at the end of day 1. The men worked really hard and made really good progress I think. That slab in the forefront is the concrete slab that used to be right outside the door. And little man thought the bricks were pretty cool. His days were spent basically standing at the door and staring at the men working.
Here is the end of day 2. They got most of the brick laid. The guy mis-calculated somehow and they ended up running out of brick.
And here's the end of Day 3. Completed.
Well, sort of. We're still waiting for the grass to grow:) He laid grass seed and hay and we're just now starting to see it poke through. Thank goodness for all the rain. Also, they have to come back and clean the brick. It's actually a rich red color, but the batch of bricks were weird and they have this weird white haze to them.
Overall, we're really happy with it. We've bought some outdoor dining furniture and have thoroughly enjoyed grilling out and eating outside almost everyday. God is so good. What a joy to see my husband and son playing in our yard, while I lay in the hammock, and wait for dinner to be done. We are so thankful for God's goodness to us!

Roomies Weekend
Along with Jon & Maggie's wedding that we went to, we also had an amazing time hanging out with old friends. Coincidentally, as the title implies, we saw all of Luke's college roommates (except for Doug who disappeared). It was so much fun!
First is was Rob and Sarah. Here they are presenting their new house!
They moved in in November and were gracious enough to let us stay there on Friday night. Here's a picture of Luke and Rob: After lunch at Bo's (obviously) we went off to Scott and Kelly's. They were gracious enough to watch Isaac for us while we were at the wedding. Here's Luke and Scott and the kids. Ella and Isaac were so cute together. Ella wore Isaac's crocs the whole time! She even said our names as soon as we walked in, Yuke and Wockie! So precious. Here's a picture of our two whole families. Also pictured are Isaac's baby brother and Ella's baby sister! Yup, Kelly's pregnant too! She's a month behind me. so fun! Yay!! After a yummy dinner there, we headed back home to Raleigh.
We were so excited about the free Andrew Peterson concert at Providence on Sunday. Unfortunately, when we got to church, we found out that the concert had been canceled because of all the flooding in Nashville, and Andrew Peterson was stuck.
Enter JJ and Shelley. They were coming down for the concert and thankfully still decided to stop by even though the concert had been canceled. We haven't seen them in a long time and were almost glad that the concert was canceled because they were able to see our house and we hung out and talked more than we would have if there had been a concert. Here are JJ and Luke in the hammockAnd here they are with their sons. JJ's little boy is Dakota and he also has a daughter named Sadie, but she was staying with some other friends.
What a whirlwind and absolutely fun weekend!! Here's one last picture of the belly at 22 Weeks.

Mr. and Mrs. Jon Chou
This weekend, we made our way back to Greenville for my friend Maggie's wedding. We forgot to take our camera so these two pics are from Luke's phone. Here's the happy couple!Maggie was stunning. She was so so beautiful. Here's a picture of me with the beautiful bride! Luke and I just love going to weddings. It's a reminder of our wedding and we always end up snuggling really close together and looking at each other with googely eyes, like we did at our wedding.
Congratulations Jon and Maggie!!
Stay tuned for other pictures of our fun friend filled weekend.
